Volkswagen: emphasizing the sustainability of cars

During the year, the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7 will be equipped with handpicked innovations, used for the first time in mass production on the ‘ID. buzz.

VW thus produces its upholstery in Seaqual® textile fiber, made up of 10% collected marine plastic debris and 90% recycled polyester.

‘The quantity of CO2 emitted by the production of this material is almost a third lower than that of conventional upholstery materials’ assures the manufacturer who, by generalizing the use of recycled materials and alternative coatings to animal leather, improves the ecological balance of its vehicles.’
