(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission has authorized the acquisition of certain assets of Auto-Holding Dresden by Volkswagen Group Retail Deutschland (VGRD), belonging to the Volkswagen Group (VW).
The assets in question relate to six VW dealerships located in Dresden (Germany), mainly active in the retail sale of passenger cars (new and used), light commercial vehicles and spare parts of the VW brand.
VGRD already operates several VW dealerships in Germany.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise any competition concerns since VW’s customers and competitors could still source VW-branded spare parts throughout Germany and the European Economic Area.
