Very present on the electromobility market with its very popular ID range, the giant Volkswagen certainly wants to claim its status as “people’s car”. For this, the brand is offering a first glimpse of its new 100% electric vehicle, the price of which is less than 25,000 euros. Its name: ID.2all.

The German manufacturer announces that the production version will be based on the “MEB Entry” platform and will be one of the ten new electric models that Volkswagen will launch on the market by 2026.

An electric car “for everyone”?

Of course, despite a more affordable price, there is no question for Volkswagen to offer a vehicle at a discount. The new ID.2all will notably benefit from the brand’s new design language while offering a high level of technology.

One of the elements of this new stylistic language is the pillar design developed for the first Golf. The ID.2all will be the first Volkswagen to present a reinterpretation of this visual signature. On board, the manufacturer promises an intuitive infotainment system, a large control screen located behind the steering wheel as well as a separate air conditioning bar.

On the engine side, this Volkswagen ID.2all will be able to count on a 166 kW and 226 hp electric motor, not to mention a theoretical WLTP range of up to 450 kilometers.

According to Kai Grünitz, member of the management board in charge of the development department: “ The ID.2all will be the first vehicle with a traction engine from the MEB platform. We are exploiting the great flexibility of our electric modular platform, and we will set new benchmarks in technologies and suitability for daily use with the MEB Entry. »

However, we will have to wait a little longer to order this new Volkswagen ID.2all, since the manufacturer is planning an official presentation in 2025, for a launch the following year. This year it is the new ID.3, the ID. Long-wheelbase Buzz as well as the ID.7 sedan which will enter the market.
