(CercleFinance.com) – Voltalia announces that its 12.1 MW solar power plant in Logelbach (Grand-Est) has entered service.
Located in the town of Wintzenheim, on the outskirts of Colmar, ‘it offers a sustainable solution for the production of renewable energy by economically and environmentally enhancing this degraded site’, underlines Voltalia.
The solar park covers 12 hectares and has 21,384 solar panels.
Annual production represents the equivalent of the electricity consumption of around 6,000 inhabitants and will avoid the emission of 2,545 tonnes of CO2 per year.
With this new plant, Voltalia now has a total installed solar capacity of 221 megawatts in France.
