(CercleFinance.com) – Voltalia announces the start of production at its Montclar solar power plant, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, a park with a capacity of 3.7 megawatts and installed on an area of 4 .2 hectares.
Made up of around 8,400 solar panels, it will supply green energy with the equivalent annual consumption of more than 2,500 residents. According to the group, the park benefits from one of the best solar fields in the country.
‘The construction was a challenge, the site being located in a mountain landscape, characterized by steep slopes, at an altitude of 1,350 meters’, underlines the producer of electricity from renewable sources.
