Voltalia is developing a new solar renewable complex in the southeast of Brazil – 06/27/2022 at 08:35

(AOF) – Voltalia has announced the development of a new photovoltaic complex, with a potential capacity of more than 1.5 gigawatts in the state of Minas Gerais. After having developed in Brazil its large complexes of Serra Branca (potential of 2.4 gigawatts, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte) and Canudos (potential of more than 1 gigawatt, in the state of Bahia), Voltalia is developing Arinos, a new solar complex with a potential of more than 1.5 gigawatts, located this time in the southeast of the country.

With the Arinos complex, Voltalia ensures the development for its own account but also for the account of third parties. Voltalia has already signed partnerships, in particular with CTG Brazil, a reference in terms of clean energy in the country.

After approval, these partners will buy a significant part of the solar sites of the Arinos complex once the development phase of each site has been completed and therefore shortly before the start of construction.

The fact of developing large project complexes allows the pooling of infrastructures, connection networks and maintenance. This is beneficial, in particular for the projects retained by Voltalia.

Waste management with high stakes

350 million tons of waste are generated annually in France. If 66% is recycled, the rates vary according to the nature of the waste. Thus only 21% of plastics are. In order to strengthen the circular economy, the State massively supports R&D within the framework of the 3R strategy (“Recyclability, Recycling and Reincorporation of materials”). An envelope of 370 million euros will be devoted to it. Regarding hazardous waste, this activity is very profitable. In France, storage and processing capacities are stretched compared to annual needs.
