PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Renewable energy producer Voltalia confirmed on Wednesday its operating profit (Ebitda) target for the current year, after recording stable turnover in the third quarter.

Turnover for the period from July to September stood at 126.2 million euros, compared to 126 million euros a year earlier.

Despite the commissioning of new power plants, the group’s production was slowed by disruptions in Brazil following the general power cut on August 15.

“Production for the quarter only increased by 1%, standing at 1.2 terawatt-hours, due to curtailments which temporarily reduced production in Brazil,” Voltalia underlined.

For the entire current financial year, the group is counting on a normative EBITDA of around 275 million euros, thanks in particular to the sales already announced or in progress of several power plants.

It also raised its target for operating and construction capacities to 2.8 gigawatts at the end of 2023, compared to the 2.6 gigawatts initially targeted.
