Voltalia: the largest solar power plant in the Western Balkans “ready to produce”

(AOF) – Voltalia, a specialist in renewable energies, announces that its Karavasta solar power plant, with a capacity of 140 megawatts, located in the Fier department, in the south of Albania, is built and ready to produce. This October 17, as part of a state visit, French President Emmanuel Macron and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama received Albanian and French representatives of Voltalia in Tirana. The Karavasta solar power plant is the largest in Albania, but also the largest in the Western Balkans.

It should produce its first megawatt hours in the coming weeks.

This vast project, carried out over approximately 200 hectares in less than 18 months, is backed by long-term sales contracts, indicates a press release from Voltalia.
