The accident occurred at around 12 noon on the A3 motorway. The 31-year-old driver was driving towards Zurich on the autobahn when he lost control of his Volvo XC90 at the Mumpf rest area for reasons that are still unknown.
He drove around several road facilities – including panels and plants. Several vehicles were damaged by debris flying around.
Property damage of several tens of thousands of francs
The car came to a stop shortly before the transformer building at the Mumpf rest area. No one was injured in the incident, as the Aargau canton police announced.
