(CercleFinance.com) – Vopak says it has entered into a cooperation agreement with Gasunie and HES International (HES) to jointly develop a green ammonia import terminal as a hydrogen production factor in the port of Rotterdam.
“Green hydrogen is considered an essential part of the future renewable energy mix and its demand is growing in the energy, transport and petrochemical industry sectors, both in the Netherlands and in Germany”, explains- he.
This quarter, work will start on the basic design of this import terminal, which will operate on the Maasvlakte as the ACE terminal and will be operational from 2026.
