In an effort to prove that its policy of not logging user information is still cutting edge, CyberGhost commissioned an audit from Deloitte.

Efficiency again certified, but the details of which are only accessible to those who have an account with this VPN provider.

CyberGhost is still among the most privacy-friendly VPNs according to Deloitte

Regularly appearing in the best places in various comparisons of VPN solutions, CyberGhost has had its no-logging policy audited by Deloitte in recent months. If the Romanian firm announces conclusive results, the full content of which can only be consulted through its “Ghosties”, it refuses to communicate extracts from the report to the general public. In fact, CyberGhost wants “ ensure that none of the audit findings are taken out of context and misunderstood “.

As of June 30, 2022, CyberGhost is therefore indeed a VPN “ no log for Deloitte. Conducted under the International Assurance Engagement Standard No. 3000 (ISAE), this audit also assessed CyberGhost’s infrastructure, including its dedicated IP service and its IP address configuration and change system.

Thus, the traffic of its users, the servers chosen, the websites consulted, the date and duration of the connection to CyberGhost VPN and under which operating system, the IP addresses, the DNS requests or the files downloaded , none of this data is recorded by CyberGhost according to the conclusions of Deloitte.

An infrastructure in the process of being expanded

Offering more than 9,000 servers as of September 2022, CyberGhost has also improved the speed of its RAM servers to reach speeds of 10 Gbps. The firm therefore welcomes both these latest developments and the result of the audit, which it believes is in line with its transparency reports introduced in 2011.

Remember that CyberGhost is a member of Kape Technologies in the same way as ExpressVPN, ZenMate and Private Internet Access (PIA); the latter has recently issued a similar audit on its no-logs policy. Founded in 2004 and still based in Bucharest, Romania, CyberGhost also claims to take advantage of the GDPR in force within the European Union to raise its standards in terms of cyber confidentiality. And you, do you find that the VPN is a good tool to maximize respect for your privacy online?
