Vronique Bdague takes over the management of Nexity on her own

Véronique Bédague, CEO of Nexity since May 2021, will take over as sole head of the group by becoming CEO, the leading French property developer announced on Thursday.

“On the proposal of its Chairman Alain Dinin, the Nexity Board of Directors unanimously decided, at its meeting of December 15, 2022, to combine the functions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. The Board of Directors Administration has appointed Vronique Bdague, Chief Executive Officer since 2021, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer as of January 1, 2023, and has awarded Alain Dinin the title of Honorary Chairman”, the group announced in a press release.

“This transfer of power is the last step in a course that I had traced in 2017,” said former CEO Alain Dinin, 71 years old. “My return to office in 2020 gave us time to choose the best person to succeed me and the choice of Vronique Bdague was a natural choice.

Alain Dinin, historic boss of Nexity, which he had run alone since 2004, had begun to hand over in 2019, only keeping the presidency.

Its first managing director, Jean-Philippe Ruggieri, died of Covid in April 2020. Mr. Dinin had taken over the reins of the group for a few months, before sharing power again, with Mrs. Bdague, from May 2021.
