VSV dismantled Bozen – KAC climbs into the top 6 with a win in Hungary

Great round for Carinthia’s ice hockey clubs! KAC fought off a 4-3 victory at Szekesfehervar and are sixth again. Villach mercilessly bombed the in-form Bolzano 5:2 – Luciani scored three times.

After just three minutes, KAC were 1-0 down at Szekesfehervar, but were able to equalize the 1-2 later on. Before Mike Zalewski made his big appearance: The American, who had no points up to that point, first scored with a flick from the side (22′), then sunk a Bukarts pass straight into the 4:2 lead. While outnumbered, KAC still conceded the goal – but fought for this important 4:3 victory in Hungary. Because Vienna lost, they are back in the top 6 in sixth place. Villach’s Luciani triple pack VSV also had start-up problems in Bozen and slept through the first third. But then the Adler-Express literally rolled over the leaders from South Tyrol – striker Anthony Luciani defeated home goalie Harvey three times with a precise shot, once again making the difference.
