Shortly before Christmas, government funding for electric cars unexpectedly came to a standstill. But several manufacturers promise in current campaigns that they want to cushion the disadvantages for end customers. Volkswagen is also among them. The company is drawing attention to itself with the introduction of ChatGPT in all vehicle classes at the CES in Las Vegas.

The discount program called “Volkswagen Environmental Bonus” (usually promotional bonus + e-mobility bonus) applies to Volkswagen ID. models. There are particularly high discounts on the VW ID.4. The purely electric sedan is available at a price starting at 32,500 euros. This corresponds to a saving of around 7,700 euros.

The smaller VW ID.3 Pro is now also significantly cheaper. A promotional bonus of 5,235 euros and a mobility bonus of 1,785 euros add up to a price reduction of around 7,000 euros. Similar programs are available for the ID.5 and the more upscale GTX equipment lines.

According to VW, the discounts apply to existing vehicles and new electric cars that can be ordered. The campaign is initially limited until March 2024. You can read more news about electromobility here on Netzwelt.
