Waga Energy: loss widened by charges in 2021 – 05/02/2022 at 08:33

(CercleFinance.com) – Waga Energy published Friday evening, for 2021, a negative net result of -7.72 million euros (compared to -1.91 million in 2020), a figure which includes non-recurring charges relating IPO for a total amount of 3.34 million.

Ebitda stood at -1.16 million euros, compared to +1.26 million in 2020, a deterioration linked to the change in size and the structuring of the group, as well as the strengthening of its sales force in the service of its international growth.

Turnover increased by 29.6% to 12.3 million euros, thanks in particular to the increase in the production of biomethane. The ten WAGABOX units in operation in France thus produced 145 GWh of biomethane in 2021, up 26.7%.

In light of these performances, the European specialist in the production of biomethane from landfill gas confirms its objective of reaching 100 WAGABOX units in operation by the end of 2026 and a turnover of approximately 200 million euros.

Furthermore, with the aim of simplifying the group’s legal structure, the Board of Directors is studying the possibility for Waga Energy to hold 100% of the securities of its American subsidiary Waga Energy Inc. via a contribution of the securities held by Holweb SAS.
