Waga Energy: partnered with Séché Environnement

(CercleFinance.com) – Séché Environnement has partnered with Waga Energy to produce biomethane from waste from the site of its subsidiary Opale Environnement located in Sainte-Marie-Kerque (Pas-de-Calais).

This project will enable the site to produce biomethane while avoiding the emission of 3,300 tons of eqCO2 per year. It will thus contribute to the deployment of the decarbonization strategy presented by Séché Environnement in February 2022.

As part of this project, Waga Energy will build a purification unit on the site using its patented WAGABOX® technology, to transform the gas emitted by the natural fermentation of waste (biogas) into biomethane, a renewable substitute for natural gas. fossil.

The WAGABOX® unit will inject 20 GWh of biomethane per year into the network, equivalent to the consumption of approximately 3,000 properly insulated households.
