Waga Energy signs a sixth contract in the United States – 10/11/2023 at 7:00 p.m.

Waga Energy, a specialist in the production of biomethane at waste storage sites, has signed an agreement with Chester County to equip the Lanchester site in Narvon (Pennsylvania, United States). The contract was signed following a competitive tender won by Waga Energy.
As part of this project, Waga Energy will build a WAGABOX® unit in Narvon capable of treating up to 3,200 m3/h of raw gas, and thus producing 130 GWh of biomethane per year. Its production will avoid the emission of 21,500 tonnes of CO2 eq by replacing fossil natural gas. Waga Energy will operate this equipment for at least 20 years, and will share the revenue generated from the sale of the biomethane with Chester County.
This is the sixth project undertaken by Waga Energy in the United States. A WAGABOX® unit has been in service in Canada since last May, and seventeen others are in operation in Europe.
Guénaël Prince, President and CEO of Waga Energy Inc. (USA), said: “We are honored to have been chosen by Chester County to carry out this project which will benefit the local community, both in terms of environmental and economic. Thanks to our unique technology in the world, the Lancaster site will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions while generating additional revenue. »
