On strike Monday, transport professionals threaten to launch a major social movement in the fall.

A logistics area in Moissy-Cramayel (Seine-et-Marne) blocked at the start of the morning. Traffic slowed down in Lille at the exit of the motorway towards Valenciennes by CFDT activists. Heavy traffic jams due to filter dams in industrial areas in Miramas (Bouches-du-Rhône) or Lunéville (Meurthe-et-Moselle)… Transport professionals made their dissatisfaction known on Monday by going on strike at the call of the five representative unions (CGT, CFDT, FO, CFTC and CGC).

Their motivations are simple: truck drivers, coach drivers, logistics agents, ambulance workers, all are demanding salary increases to compensate for the rising cost of living. They are not the only ones. Everywhere, social conflicts are multiplying because of galloping inflation. And workers are asking for raises. TotalEnergies and Marionnaud have just experienced bouts of fever of this type.

But the 800,000 transport employees feel particularly badly off…
