With Geo Television, RTL Crime, RTL Living and RTL Passion, Waipu.tv now has a total of 183 channels in the Perfect Plus package. For a limited time, you can also view content from the new channels on-demand at Waipu.tv. You do not cause any additional costs or the like.
Waipu.tv is preparing to become Germany’s number one cord cutter
The aim of the provider is obviously to displace the cable competition in particular – keyword: cord cutting. Markus Haertenstein, CEO of Exaring AG, operator of waipu.tv, explains: “The RTL Group’s pay-TV channels are now expanding our HD offering to 160 high-definition programs. We are therefore offering more high-quality content than any conventional TV cable connection.”

RTL Crime broadcasts crime thriller formats from RTL itself. In addition, there are also international crime and action highlights, such as the classic “Magnum” or the “From Dusk till Dawn” series from 2016 based on the 1996 film.
RTL Living is the home of fashion topics such as the last big catwalk gala by French fashion czar Jean-Paul Gaultier. But lifestyle formats also run there. According to RTL, the pay-TV channel is supposed to be “the quiet antithesis to fast free TV”.
RTL Passion, on the other hand, offers many Bollywood films and series from India, for example. But he also had the German TV premiere of the hit series “The Handmaid’s Tale” in the program. According to its own statements, the station is aimed primarily at a female audience.
Geo Television was launched in 2014, making it the youngest of the four channels. The other three channels celebrated their 15th anniversary on December 1st. The documentary channel focuses on topics such as nature, technology, history and research.
