The new series "Walker" only started in January in the USA – with success. The broadcaster The CW has now confirmed a second season.

It is not an easy task to follow in Chuck Norris (80) footsteps. Jared Padalecki (38, "Gilmore Girls") seems to have mastered it with flying colors. After "Walker", the new edition of the series "Walker, Texas Ranger", started with great success in the USA in January, the broadcaster The CW has already confirmed a second season.

As the industry journal "Variety" reports, that's not all. The first season of "Walker" will also get five additional episodes, making it a total of 18 episodes. One is particularly satisfied with the "huge success of the start" of the series, said The CW President Mark Pedowitz (71). The new edition achieved the highest rate of premieres within five years.

New seasons for three more reboots

In addition to "Walker", the US broadcaster extended eleven other series by another season each. These include "Charmed" (season four), "The Denver Clan" (season five) and "The Flash" (season eight), all of which are also series reboots. And the fans of "Riverdale" can also look forward to more episodes. The youth mystery series, which was launched in 2017 and will be expanded by a sixth season, can be seen in Germany on the Netflix streaming service.
