How should a new edition of "Walker, Texas Ranger" succeed without Chuck Norris? The series makers seem to have found an answer.

Jared Padalecki (38) in the footsteps of Chuck Norris (80)? When it became known that the "Supernatural" star had the main part in the remake of "Walker, Texas Ranger", fans of the original were amazed. But they did one thing at the US premiere of the reboot on January 21: switched on. And so, according to "Entertainment Weekly", the station network The CW achieved the best audience ratings for five years with "Walker".

Around 2.5 million people watched Padalecki's first appearance as a righteous cop in Texas, and the series referred to "Legends of Tomorrow" as a quota croesus. It is not yet known when "Walker" will make it to Germany.

The original series made its German-language debut in 1995 and quickly became a guilty pleasure because of its absurd plot and the even more absurd power of main character Cordell 'Cord' Walker (Norris). He's been able to put an end to environmental offenders by stopping chainsaws with the strength of his fingers. The series made it into eight seasons and one television film between 1993 and 2001. The remake is much more realistic.
