Please note, the following details the plot of the second part of season 11 of the Walking Dead series, available on the OCS platform on demand. If you haven’t seen it yet, and don’t want to know anything about its content, then you are strongly recommended to stop reading this article now.

It’s a scene that we would never have thought to see in Walking Dead, and yet… The end of the second part of the final season of the horrific show indeed saw Maggie take a first friendly step towards Negan. Entrusting the custody of her son Hershel to the latter and his wife Annie, the young woman made a strong gesture towards the assassin of her husband, Glenn.

If the young boy does not yet seem ready to trust the former Savior, Maggie did not hesitate to reveal that she was beginning to believe in Negan’s good will, a confidence that completely destabilized the latter. This first step by Maggie towards the man she hates the most in the world most certainly begins the plot of the new series Isle of the Dead, a spin-off which will bring together the two characters.

The filming of this oh so symbolic scene will not have been easy, however, as confirmed by Lauren Cohan to our American colleagues fromEntertainment Weekly. The interpreter of Maggie has also confessed to having experienced “the urge to vomit” at the time of filming, she who surely did not expect her character to begin to forgive the man who so savagely killed her husband.

“I think the reason I hated doing that is that she also hated telling him that” added Lauren Cohan during this interview. Remember that if Maggie and Negan do not like each other, the actress and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are on the other hand much closer, to the point of having formed a couple, and not least, in the film Batman v Superman: Thomas and Martha Wayne , the parents of Bruce Wayne!

The final season of Walking Dead (parts 1 and 2) is available now on the OCS platform on demand. The third – and final – part will be broadcast sometime next fall, exclusively on US+24 on OCS Choc.
