Thirteen years, already, since the broadcast of the very first season of “The Walking Dead”. Do you still remember well the six episodes broadcast for the first time in October 2010? Let’s check this with the eight questions of this quiz!
Last November, the series The Walking Dead bowed out after twelve years of existence. It was indeed on October 31, 2010 that the American public was able to discover the very first episode of this horror series on the AMC channel, and it was necessary to wait a few additional months to be able to watch the series in France broadcast on OCS Choc from of March 2011.
Based on the comic book of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, the series is developed by Frank Darabont, a name already known in the world of fantasy and horror thanks to three feature films directed by the past, all three adapted from the works of star writer Stephen King.
It was indeed Frank Darabont who brought to the screen in 1994 the short story Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption appeared in the collection Different Seasons. A short novel made into the cinema The Escaped (Shawshank Redemption in VO) featuring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman in this story of friendship between two prisoners.
Five years later, this time it was the serial novel La Ligne Verte which was adapted by the filmmaker with Tom Hanks in the main role. Again located in the prison universe, the actor embodied the character of Paul Edgecomb, responsible for the smooth running of capital punishment, who will meet a prisoner named John Coffey, a colossus with a tender heart and strange powers.
Finally, in 2007, Frank Darabont brought to the screen a third work by the master of horror with The Mist, an adaptation of the short story Hazewhich this time told the relationships between different characters blocked in a supermarket by an surrounding fog hiding creatures as disturbing as they were unlovable.
