Walking Dead: why Carol will not be in the new series?

Melissa McBride, the interpreter of Carol in the series “Walking Dead”, will not finally be in the casting of the spin-off supposed to follow the adventures of her character and the emblematic Daryl.

This is news that we did not expect. Melissa McBride, the interpreter of Carol since the first season of Walking Dead, will not appear in the casting of the unnamed spin-off, which should have followed the new adventures of Carol and Daryl. Decision which comes just a few weeks after the end of the filming of the final episode of the horror series (part 3 expected for the end of the year on OCS Choc).

While creative disputes were initially raised to justify this withdrawal, the American channel AMC finally revealed the real reasons for this decision: the filming of the series was supposed to take place in Europe (simple relocation of the shots, or clue to the plot of the program?), it seemed impossible for the actress to go several months on another continent, far from her family.

However, the spin-off still seems relevant; inevitably rewritten to adapt to the absence of Carol, the series will therefore probably focus on the single character of Daryl. Hope remains, however, to see Melissa McBride re-enlist in the role, on the occasion, for example, of the anthology Tales of the Walking Dead tour, meanwhile, on American soil.

Remember that in addition to these two new series, a third spin-off titled Isle of the Dead, with Negan and Maggie as headliners, has also been commissioned by AMC. These three series will be broadcast during the course of next year in the United States (no French channel announced for the time being).
