Geopolitical tensions and inflation depressed investors on the New York Stock Exchange which ended at half-mast on Friday, while banks launched the quarterly results season without success.
The Dow Jones index fell by 1.24%, the Nasdaq by 1.62% and the broader S&P 500 index by 1.46%, according to still provisional results.
