The New York Stock Exchange concluded clearly in the green on Tuesday, setting a new record for the broader S&P 500 index, pending the outcome of a monetary meeting of the American central bank on Wednesday.
The Dow Jones index gained 0.83%, the technology-dominated Nasdaq advanced 0.39% and the S&P 500 gained 0.56%, allowing it to reach a new high, according to provisional results.
