The New York Stock Exchange opened lower on Wednesday, still hesitant awaiting new macroeconomic data to gauge the state of the US economy and to estimate the monetary trajectory of the Federal Reserve (Fed).

In early trading, the Dow Jones fell 0.04%, the Nasdaq index lost 0.05% and the broader S&P 500 index lost 0.18%.
