Wall Street: Wall Street ends slightly higher two days before the Fed


(Reuters) – The New York Stock Exchange ended higher on Monday, two days before the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision and inflation data.

The Dow Jones index gained 0.2%, or 69.05 points, to 38,868.04 points.

The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 gained 13.8 points, or 0.3% to 5,360.79 points.

The Nasdaq Composite advanced 59,403 points, or 0.4%, to 17,192,529 points.

On the downside, Apple lost 1.91%, investors not having been convinced by the Apple brand’s announcements on artificial intelligence.
