(AOF) – Walt Disney-owned television network ESPN and Penn Entertainment have planned to jointly launch a sports betting business under the ESPN Bet brand as part of a two billion dollar deal. “We know they (the public) want both betting content and the ability to place bets with less friction from our products,” ESPN President Jimmy Pitaro said. Penn will relaunch its service as ESPN Bet in the fall in the 16 legalized betting states where it has licenses.

Artificial intelligence, threat or opportunity for professional and specialized press publishers?

After having fought for the tech giants to pay them under neighboring rights, press publishers are worried about the use of their data for the benefit of artificial intelligence (AI). Generative AI feeds on the information it finds on the internet, including that of the media. Analysts generally remain confident about these specialized publishing players because their strong asset is based on the reliability of the information they transmit, which is still far from being the case for AI.
