If you’ve noticed super long tweets – 4,000 characters – on your News Feed, brace yourself. Because they’re still going to get longer. On Sunday, Elon Musk said in a tweet that an extension for long-form tweets may be coming soon.
In February, Twitter Blue subscribers got access to 4,000-character tweets with their $8 monthly subscription. These tweets are already very long and allow you to write whole paragraphs of text.
Well according to Elon Musk, this limit could soon be extended to 10,000 characters.
Pulling the line, a heavy trend on social networks
While there are no details on this feature yet, if you’re interested in 10,000-character tweets, you can sign up for Twitter Blue, as the long-form tweets feature will likely remain restricted to subscribers.
Other benefits of a Twitter Blue membership include blue tick, edit tweet feature, bookmark folder, themes, Spaces tab, personalized navigation and much more.
On the other hand, if long tweets are boring to you, maybe it’s time to explore other options like Mastodon or ditch the app because long tweets seem to be a big trend. Instagram isn’t really a virtual place to look at photos and videos anymore. You can also tell your life story there.
