Ukraine said on Tuesday it shot down 29 explosive drones out of a total of 31, mainly over kyiv and its region, during a new Russian air attack on the capital, the third in 24 hours. “From 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. (8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. GMT, editor’s note), Russian occupation troops attacked Ukraine” with 31 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 drones, 29 of which were shot down, “almost all near the capital and in the skies of Kiev,” the Ukrainian Air Force said on Telegram.

At least one dead in a new “massive attack” on kyiv
At least one person was killed and several others injured in the night from Monday to Tuesday during a new “massive attack” of Russian drones on Kiev, announced the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko. Debris fell on a multi-storey building in the Holosiivsky district, in the south of the capital. “One person died, an old lady was hospitalized, two victims were treated on the spot,” the mayor said on Telegram.
“Massive attack! Stay in cover!” implored the mayor. According to the city’s civil and military administration, 20 people were evacuated from the affected building. “The two upper floors are destroyed, there may be people under the rubble,” she also said on Telegram.
Earlier in the night, Vitali Klitschko had announced that a 27-year-old woman had been hospitalized after a fall of debris on the same district of Holosiivsky.
Moscow and its region attacked by drones, “minor” damage but no victims and accuses Ukraine of attack
Moscow and its region were targeted Tuesday at dawn by a rare drone attack which caused “minor” damage to buildings in the Russian capital without causing any casualties, authorities said. “This morning, at dawn, a drone attack caused minor damage to several buildings. All the city’s emergency services are on site (…) No one has been seriously injured so far “, wrote the mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, on Telegram.
For his part, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, said that several drones had been shot down near the capital. “This morning, residents of some districts of the Moscow region could hear the sound of explosions, it was our air defense system,” Andrei Vorobyov wrote.
“Several drones were shot down on the approach to Moscow,” he said, calling on residents to “keep their cool” and assuring that “all the emergency services are doing their job”. “This morning, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack with drones against sites in Moscow,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement. “Eight drones were involved in the attack,” he said, assuring that they had all been neutralized.
