Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to meet with the mothers of soldiers deployed or preparing to serve in Ukraine this Friday. Mothers of professional and temporary soldiers, volunteers and conscripted reservists are invited to the eve of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated in Russia on the last Sunday in November, according to the Kremlin.
After the partial mobilization, mothers in some regions complained that their sons were being sent into battle ill-equipped.
