The Ministry of the Armed Forces played fair by revealing a list of weapons supplied to Ukraine since December 31. In total, this represents thousands of weapons and equipment worth 2.6 billion euros. Emmanuel Macron therefore displays his desire to show Paris’ support for kyiv.

Missiles, cannons, rockets… France has revealed the list of weapons supplied to Ukraine since December 31. A response to criticism from President Volodymyr Zelensky who accused Paris of having delivered only a third of the promised shells. The Ministry of the Armed Forces – this is a first – is therefore playing the transparency card.

Weapons that meet three criteria

France thus delivered to kyiv 30 Caesar cannons, 30 Zodiac Futura and 160 reconnaissance drones, for a total amount of 2.6 billion euros. These thousands of weapons and military equipment supplied since December 31 meet three criteria, according to the Ministry of the Armed Forces. They can be used immediately as weapons with their ammunition and should not weaken the French armies. Finally, it must not provoke an escalation of the conflict.

However, this list was not published in its entirety to avoid giving too much information to the Russian army. By making this information public, Emmanuel Macron is therefore displaying his desire to show France’s support for Ukraine, which remains far from the 42 billion dollars paid by the United States to Volodymyr Zelensky’s army.
