War in Ukraine: Emmanuel Macron will visit Romania and Moldova next week


The French presidency specified that a visit by the Head of State to Ukraine would take place on a date which has not yet been fixed, when it will be “useful to President Zelensky”.

Emmanuel Macron will travel to Romania on Tuesday to meet the French troops stationed there, then to Moldova on Wednesday to affirm his support for this country affected by the war in Ukraine, the Élysée announced on Friday June 10. The French Presidency specified that a visit by the Head of State to Ukraine would take place on a date which has not yet been fixed, when it will be “useful to President (Volodymyr) Zelensky“.

France wants Ukraine to come outvictoriousof the conflict with Russia, insisted the French presidency, responding to questions raised by a call from President Emmanuel Macron to “don’t humiliate russia“. “As the President had occasion to say, we wish Ukraine a victory. We want the territorial integrity of Ukraine to be restored. We want this conflict, this war of Russia against Ukraine to end as soon as possiblesaid an adviser to the president.
