War in Ukraine: Romania welcomes Ukrainian refugees who fled the country after the Russian offensive

More than 1.5 million people have fled Ukraine since the start of the Russian offensive in the country on February 24. Overnight, these Ukrainians found themselves on the roads of exile and were welcomed by neighboring countries, such as Romania.

In this neighboring country of Ukraine, humanitarian camps have developed to provide initial support to the population of the Odessa region on the run.

Every day, the country welcomes an increasing flow of refugees. Border police recorded nearly 24,000 entries on Tuesday alone, for a total of 118,000 since the start of the invasion. And the crowd was even greater on Wednesday, noted an AFP journalist.
