War in Ukraine: TV programs upset

Faced with the importance of the situation in Ukraine, TF1, France 2 and M6 are mobilizing. So much so that TV programs are turned upside down.

The situation is serious. For several days, all eyes have been on Ukraine where thehe situation is particularly tense with Russia. So much so that Emmanuel Macron had made the trip there, after having tried to calm things down with Vladimir Poutine. In vain. This Wednesday, February 24, the Russian president took action, carrying out his threats. Russian troops thus invaded and bombarded Ukraine. If the West does not seem to want to engage militarily in this conflict, everyone condemns the acts of Vladimir Putin – who did not fail to threaten the countries which could intervene. This Thursday, February 24, Emmanuel Macron therefore took the floor, promising to keep his fellow citizens informed of the progress of this critical situation as well as decisions he will have to make.

Faced with the magnitude of the tragedy, the chains upset their programs. Starting with France 2. The public service channel was to broadcast a new number ofElysée 2022: against France Télévisions. It was Marine Le Pen who had to take part in the exercise. But in agreement with the RN presidential candidate, France 2 has decided to postpone its visit. Instead, Léa Salamé and Laurent Guimier will be at the controls of a special program on Ukraine, in order to explain to the French all the ins and outs of this war. “This evening, we are devoting 2h40 to a major special broadcast, with special envoys, our correspondents, experts, politicians also to find out and understand what is happening and above all the world we are entering from today with this war that has just been started in Ukraine“, detailed the director of information of the group.

TF1 and M6 are also taking a close interest in Ukraine

La Une also intends to enlighten its viewers on this situation. Thereby, Gilles Bouleau will receive, live, in his 20 Hours on TF1 the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Jean-Yves Le Drian. “will speak on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and its repercussions on all of Europe“, specifies the private channel. M6 also modifies its programming somewhat. On Sunday February 27, dthem numbersExclusive inquiry will be devoted to it. Starting with the one at 11:10 p.m., entitled Invasion of Ukraine: Putin declares war on the world. For this documentary, from winter 2020, the teams ofExclusive inquiry investigated for several months and filmed in Western Europe and Russia where a new kind of war is being prepared. They followed several families there at the heart of the war. Bernard de la Villardière will then present an issue entitled Nationalism and traditions: Russia according to Putin. An evening that should decipher the intentions of Vladimir Putin.
