Yes, we know, we usually only talk here about films adapted from video games or series, but it’s hard to deny that the license Warhammer 40,000 is also closely linked to our video game universe that we love so much. We no longer count the games Warhammer in preparation, with for example Space Marine II which has very recently been talked about. Today, it is on the television side that the license has set its sights since we learn the start of a TV series Warhammer 40Kand not with anyone.
Cavill loses his cape but dons his armor
The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Games Workshop is currently in final negotiations with Amazon to produce a series Warhammer 40,000. We don’t yet know who will write this series or even when it will be released, but between the latter and the one on god of war announced this week, the Prime Video catalog is starting to fill up well.
The other surprise in there, it’s the fact that actor Henry Cavill is involved in the project, both to star in this series but also to produce it as an executive producer. Finally, a surprise, not so much when you know a little about the actor’s love for the universe of Warhammer.
But this news comes a few weeks after that of his departure from the series The Witcher, where it is rumored that he would not have appreciated the direction of the series, too far from the books (it is only a rumor to date). Let’s hope for him that this series suits him better but as a producer, we imagine that he will have an important right of inspection. Besides, after hanging up his Superman cape this week, he needed another project to keep busy.
