Warhammer 40,000: Darktide: Fatshark delays the arrival of seasonal content and the game’s release on Xbox Series

Available on PC since the end of November 2022, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide didn’t really have the much-hoped-for blockbuster release. Between a repetitive and boring progression, the presence of microtransactions, too poor launch content or optimization and tweaking on the street, the cooperative FPS seems to have a hard time raising itself to the same level of quality as the opuses of the series Vermintide.

In order to save the furniture, the developers of Fatshark have therefore taken the decision to postpone the deployment of the promised seasonal content and the arrival of the title on Xbox Series X|S.

Darktide Trooper Emergency Assistance Required

As explained by Martin Wahlund, CEO and co-founder of the Swedish studio last night on Twitter, “At Fatshark, we are extremely proud of our ability to deliver a game that millions of people can enjoy. That’s what we set out to do with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide: create an interesting and stable game with a level of depth that makes you want to play for weeks, not hours. We did not meet this expectation. »

“Over the next few months, our sole focus is to respond to the feedback that many of you are having. In particular, we will be focusing on providing a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and will continue to work on improving the stability and optimizing the game’s performance. This also means that we will be delaying the deployment of our seasonal content and the launch of the Xbox Series X|S version. We will also suspend future premium cosmetic releases. »

It remains to be seen if and when the developers will manage to correct all these problems in order to offer the public the gaming experience they deserve, both on PC and on Xbox Series. To be continued.
