Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader reveals its gameplay and a collector

New ambitious project from Owlcat Games studio, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader took advantage of this Thursday’s PC Gaming Show 2023 Preview conference to unveil a new trailer. We discover the mechanics of gameplay, close to the previous productions of the developer, as well as a collector’s edition which will be available when the game is released.

From C-RPG to Warhammer sauce

Renowned for its role-playing game adaptations Pathfinder with the friendly Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Owlcat Games is back for a new C-RPG, this time in the Warhammer universe. The title thus offers RPG mechanics with turn-based combat where you play as a Free-Merchant (a Rogue Trader) who will have to explore the threatening region of Koronus alongside several companions. The new trailer is relatively shy but still allows you to see some gameplay footage.

This video also marks the opening of wishlists on the various PC platforms where the game will be available, namely Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store. Better yet, a collector’s edition has been formalized, bringing together:

  • A painted 20 centimeter figurine of Cassia Orsellion
  • A hardcover artbook
  • A mandate
  • A pack of stickers
  • A banner

This edition is currently only available for pre-order on the official website, and it is not yet known which other retailers will participate. It is also possible to get your hands on several founders’ packs, which will give access to several phases of alpha and beta as well as other digital objects.

On the other hand, we will have to remain patient, no date or release period has been communicated for this Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. We know, however, that it will be available on PC and consoles, without precision for the latter.
