After establishing a precarious base in these hostile places, their fortress is seriously threatened by the Kruleboyz, the sinister and violent Orruk faction that calls Ghur home. When the leader of this Stormcast detachment, Sigrun, learns of a source of arcane power capable of protecting them against the Kruleboyz, he and his forces venture into the swamps at the risk of their lives to obtain it, thus beginning the cinematic narrative of the campaign which features desperate survival. Co-written with Black Library author Gavin Thorpe, this rich Age of Sigmar retelling is based on Dawnbringer’s Crusades from the latest edition of the tabletop game.

Gamers using a controller will experience DirectStep, an innovative new real-time strategy interface that enables tactical immediacy in the heat of battle. Using the analog sticks and a few simple button presses, players will be able to quickly cycle through their squads, issue orders, and engage the enemy. This system will give Xbox and PlayStation gamers the flexibility and responsiveness of mouse and keyboard, from their favorite control system. PC gamers will be able to enjoy a classic mouse and keyboard control scheme loved by early RTS gaming enthusiasts.

With a wide range of mission types and modes, battles will never be the same in Realms of Ruin. With four playable factions that are completely visually and strategically distinct from each other, players will be able to rally their armies, unleashing powerful units to turn the tide of war in their favor. From fast pilots to heavy monsters, to mystical wizards and mighty heroes, each has its own strengths and weaknesses. Players will battle it out on the Arcane Conduits to harvest resources, upgrade and specialize their forces through tech trees, while controlling the battle on multiple fronts to achieve victory.
