Warsaw prolongs standoff against Brussels over European funds

The Polish government claims to have satisfied the demands of the Commission on justice which condition the release of 36 billion.

“We showed maximum goodwill, but our concessions came to nothing”, lamented the president of the Law and Justice party (PiS) Jaroslaw Kaczynski, last Sunday, about the negotiations between Warsaw and Brussels on the European recovery plan. Two years after the historic agreement on the common loan, Warsaw is still waiting for the 36 billion euros allocated to it. Acknowledging the failure of the talks, the strongman of the main ruling party believes that if the European Commission does not fulfill its obligations towards Poland, then we have no reason to fulfill our obligations towards the EU . Strong and threatening words that again increase the tension in this saga of the Polish recovery plan.
