Warzone 2: A mythical map soon to return?

Even though Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was made official by Activision and Infinity Wardthe information about the latter is still very very discreet, except that they are actually non-existent.

Nevertheless, the developers had announced a few days ago that the next Battle Royale will not be linked to any other Call of Duty game, and according to the latest leaks, the Warzone 2 map would look more like one of the mythical maps of the license.

Warzone 2, a map similar to that of Blackout?

Remember, when leaving Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in 2018, it was the first time that the license offered its players a Battle Royale through the Blackout mode. If it was well received by the community, it was nevertheless less successful than the first Warzone of the name. The reason ? Probably because Warzone appeared to be free-to-play, unlike Blackout which had to be paid for since it was implemented in BO4.

As a reminder, the Blackout map offered several POIs featuring the greatest classics of the license, including Nuketown Island, or even the ghost town with Buried Zombies from BO2.

Nevertheless, despite the lesser success of Blackout, Infinity Ward seems to want to return to the origins of this Battle Royale since for Warzone 2, the studio would rely more on the latter and not on what players know through Warzone.

So, and according to the leaker Tom Henderson which we no longer present, the map of Warzone 2 should therefore look more like that of Blackout, with naturally several POIs.

Regarding these famous POIs, if leaks announced a map inspired by the city of Medellin in Colombia, new leaks declared the introduction of several maps known to Modern Warfare 2 released in 2009.

Among them is therefore Highrise, Quarry, Afghan and Terminal that players can hope to find through this new Battle Royale, but at the moment nothing has been confirmed by the studio yet.

If we were to sum up, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 would therefore be more like Battle Royale Blackout, and if its map will be similar to the latter, the gameplay should be too. According to videographer NerosCinema on YouTube, big changes will take place: the inventory system with the introduction of a backpack, like in Blackout, or the supply drops that players will have to unlock through a few challenges and either at the shopping station.

If the latter has been discreet since its formalization, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile finally gives its news through a new press release. Good news for players, the developers have announced a closed Alpha period!
