While the presence of cheaters always makes gamers cringe. Warzone and Vanguardthe recent RICOCHET update should pull the rug out from under them, preventing them from carrying out their misdeeds thanks to a novelty, the “camouflage”.
Having to deal with the omnipresence of cheaters has unfortunately been the daily lot of Warzone and Vanguard players, and has been since day one. Players are confronted daily with opponents who use and abuse aimbots and wallhacks to ensure an easy victory.
Although the developers have made progress in their fight against cheaters thanks to the arrival of RICOCHET, the problem is far from being solved. Nevertheless, with the arrival of Season 3, a ray of hope appeared.
A RICOCHET update has been rolled out to Warzone and Vanguard
On April 26, Activision said that the RICOCHET update will allow anti-cheat to go further to prevent cheaters from cracking down, now they can’t see or hear anything thanks to a “camouflage”.
“With cloaking, players detected as cheaters may find themselves unable to see opposing players in-game. Characters, balls, and even audio from legitimate players will be undetectable to cheaters. Legitimate players, however, can see cheaters affected by cloaking (…)”the developers said.
This measure is in addition to “shield” announced in mid-February, which ensures that any equipment used in game by a cheater does not inflict any damage.

Separately, the developers also reported that more than 54,000 accounts have recently been banned, in addition to the previously announced 90,000. “While we may not announce all bans as they occur, please be aware that they occur both daily and in waves”they said.
In all games of this ilk, the fight against cheaters is a long-term war. Activision is now working to put in place protections for those who might fall through the cracks, it remains to be seen if these adjustments will pay off.
