Warzone bug suggests innocent players are cheating

Warzone has always had weird bugs. And the newcomer is no exception, called “box glitch” this one makes players look like they are using a wallhack.

A number of weird bugs have plagued Warzone since the Pacific update.

One of the weirdest bugs fans have seen though is the appearance of “boxes” on the player screen. These appear to draw the outlines of enemy adversaries.

What is the Warzone ‘box glitch’ and why does it look like a wallhack

Warzone’s new “box glitch” is a visual effect that causes a giant white box to appear on your screen. It also prevents your weapon from firing bullets for a few seconds.

Aydan, a pro Warzone player, encountered this issue while streaming on January 14th.

As seen in the clip above, the Warzone player is shooting at a door when he suddenly gets a white box and hit markers on his screen. However, once he enters the room, no one is present in the building.

Some fans believed it to be wallhack because the white box popped up on a wall. However, people were quick to notice that the box is actually the Airstrike killstreak reticle, which means it’s present in the game files.

Warzone has been infested with cheaters since launch.

Indeed, in a Reddit post, the user Beautiful_Piccolo_51 said : “Yeah that’s not cheating, that white box on the door is actually a bug, it’s the Airstrike reticle.”

As of this writing, no one seems to know what causes the Airstrike reticle bug.
