Warzone: Developers seek to evolve the genre

Since its official release, the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone has been a resounding success. Moreover, the title’s official servers are always full, as it manages to attract, constantly, new players and new players. And if Warzone very often hosts updates bringing content, part of the development team is also currently working on Warzone 2.

Incidentally, Warzone Creative Director Josh Bridge recently shared some new information regarding their work. During a livesteam, that of March 23, and speaking with the streamer TeePee, he indicated that several teams had been working, for a while, on something “ exciting », aiming to evolve the battle royale genre.

Thereby, it could well be that Warzone 2 introduces some new concepts. He then said: ” […] we all like the idea of exploring what else we can do, with a large number of players on a huge map […] »

Unfortunately, Josh Bridge did not provide further information on this subject. Thus, we do not know the nature of these concepts and changes which could, possibly, evolve the genre of battle royale and be integrated into Warzone 2. We will have to wait for a new communication from the developers, to find out more. Of course, we will not fail to keep you informed about this.

Remember that the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone is available for free on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
