Since the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded Update, players have been unhappy with the state of shotguns and are asking developers to improve this category of weapons which is currently deemed “unusable”.
Warzone’s Season 3 Reloaded update has brought several balancing adjustments to Call of Duty’s Battle Royale including buffs and nerfs to many different weapons from the various installments.
And players were quickly disappointed by the reduction in shotguns in this new update.
Many have therefore asked the developers to make improvements to this category of weapons.
Shotguns are considered “unusable” by many players.
In a clip posted to the Warzone subreddit, Reddit user “V_I_N_E_S” pointed out the problem with shotgun nerfs.
And in this clip, we can notably see a player land in front of him and after shooting him at point-blank range with a shotgun, the latter remained standing.
“A point-blank shotgun in the face should always make a oneshot.”
Many players agreed with this view, saying that the damage reduction for shotguns in Warzone’s Season 3 Reloaded update did not have a positive impact on gameplay.
One player wrote:Shotguns should be much more powerful at very close range. It’s weird that they made them completely unusable.”
But while many players are understandably upset with these changes, a few other players have claimed that this change helps make the game more balanced by ensuring you can’t be knocked out in one hit.
“It’s a video game. If I was constantly being shot down by a shotgun or any other weapon in a BR, then I would be playing another game.another player says in the comments.
So nerf deserved or not for shotguns? Opinions differ. In any case for the moment, Raven Software does not seem really excited about the idea of making new changes to this category of weapons. To be continued…
