Warzone players demand the removal of drones

As the developers reversed their decision, Warzone Pacific players are growing increasingly frustrated with the overabundance of drones in matches, prompting them to call for their removal altogether.

Much to the chagrin of some players, the developers had made the decision to reintroduce Warzone’s Vanguard Royale mode to Buy Stations. However, to prevent them from taking the battle royale by storm, they accompanied this return with a significant price increase.

However, they very quickly reconsidered their decision in order to “in order to adopt a rhythm of play closer to that of the original conception”. Aware that this backtracking could pose a problem, they specified that once they had “collected enough data”, they would decide whether or not to raise their price again.

However, many players are not thrilled with this test, believing that this killstreak is used far too often during matches, and that Raven Software should permanently remove drones from the game.

Drones continue to divide the Warzone community.

Towards a withdrawal of drones on Warzone?

A player expressed frustration on Reddit with how often players use drones, saying it was more fun when this killstreak was tied to contracts.

“I think they were onto something with the drone fit and hopefully they reconsider or raise their price again”did he declare.

Many players more than agreed with what he said, showing their displeasure in the comments of the publication.

“I couldn’t agree more. People use them as a crutch, like heartbeat sensors, instead of using their eyes. In addition, drones favor one-sided firefights because only one side has all the information”said another player.

Drones can be extremely effective in Warzone Pacific, finding and eliminating your opponents before they even have a chance to react. As it is currently quite easy to get their hands on, many players can use it.

That’s why the developers initially decided to increase their price to $9000 instead of $6000. It remains to be seen if they will later decide to leave things as they are, increase their cost, or, as some players suggest, remove them from Warzone.
