Warzone players enrage over cheating explosion

Warzone players have heavily criticized Activision over their anti-cheat system, RICOCHET, saying the situation in the game is getting worse again.

Warzone was an undeniable success for Activision, reaching the milestone of 100 million players very quickly. However, the past few seasons have been dominated by bugs and other issues. The situation had even become so serious that Activision and Raven apologized about it.

But the biggest problem, by far, is cheating. Since day one, cheaters have had a hand in Warzone. Despite the introduction of the RICOCHET anti-cheat, this still seems to be the case.

Cheating in Warzone is not a recent phenomenon.

A resurgence of cheating in Warzone Pacific Season 2?

In what will be bad news for 99.9% of gamers, reports suggest that the number of cheaters is on the rise again.

Player “Extension_Variety908” revived the debate on this by asking if other players have experienced an increase in the number of cheaters.

“Is it just me or someone else gets suspiciously killed. Every time I play Rebirth Island, I always get killed by a guy who Aimbots or doesn’t look at me, then turns around and shoots me in the head.”

Many other players echoed these comments, and many said that wallhacks, in particular, seem to be more common in Warzone. One said: “I honestly think there are a lot of people using the wallhacks… the killcam CLEARLY shows them staring at us and following us through the walls. It’s obvious they’re cheating. Honestly, I haven’t seen aimbotters in a long time now.”

Another gamer slammed Activision for these issues, saying: “There is supposedly an anti-cheat but today alone I played 6 games with cheaters using both aimbots and wallhacks. Ricochet is a lie”.

Hopefully the game publishers will manage to get the situation under control in the future and the reports of cheating will decrease again.
