The Warzone Season 2 update isn’t just going to bring new content, as 30 significant gameplay changes are also going to be made.

From armor plate changes to gas mask upgrades, check out all the new stuff to come.

Warzone Season 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Battle Royale updates. While new locations on the map, new weapons and a large number of new gameplay features are on the program, many improvements are also planned.

A total of 30 quality of life tweaks will bolster Warzone gameplay from every angle. From gear changes to general movement fixes, there’s plenty of new stuff coming very soon.

So before you jump into Season 2, here’s everything you need to know about the biggest upgrades coming to Warzone.

Activision

The gas mask animation will no longer break when aiming in Warzone Season 2.

Major Warzone Season 2 improvements

30 key gameplay changes will be rolling out as part of the Season 2 patch. From specific features to broader mechanics, almost everything has been vetted.

At the top of the list, we can find a whole series of movement modifications.

In Season 2, walking and vehicular travel should be much smoother. Additionally, Caldera will now be easier to climb thanks to “increased character height”, but going up and down various mountains should also be faster than ever thanks to “reduced collisions with world geometry”.

Also, a number of obstructions have been removed to make it easier for you to move around. Parachutes can now be used much lower to the ground, preventing accidental deaths in the future, and stun grenades are even on the way out in the Vanguard Royale playlist.

Peak Warzone
Activision

The final zone will play less and less at Peak in Warzone Season 2.

As for combat changes, experienced Warzone players will be pleased to hear that the gas mask animation will no longer break during a critical firefight.

The Season 2 patch also includes a long-requested change to how armor plates work. Using a full plate will now prioritize the armor value of a full plate, rather than filling in a tiny bit of damage first.

This list is completed with a key change regarding Caldera in particular. After weeks of complaining about the new map layout, Peak should be less of a problem as we progress through time since the final circle is now less likely to focus on this hotly contested location, which should help to Finish games in a more balanced way.

Without further ado, check out a complete overview of all the Warzone Pacific Season 2 quality of life improvements we know of so far:

  • Improved movement : Increased character height and collision fixes.
  • Gas mask : Animation no longer interrupts a player in aim.
  • Armor plates : Now fills a full armor plate before filling a damaged one.
  • Vehicles : Improved handling and reduction of world geometry collision.
  • Parachute : Possibility of deploying it at a lower vertical height.
  • Restrictions : Dead silence and stun grenades have been removed from Vanguard Royale.
  • Correction from stun: Aim assist is now scaled appropriately.
  • nerves : Fighter planes and gas cans.
  • Improvements : Anti-aircraft guns.
  • End circle : Less likely to end at Peak.

Improvements coming to Warzone Season 2

While Season 2 is the center of attention, we already know that more gameplay quality changes are planned for the mid-season patch.

We expect the Mid-Season 2 Update to bring at least three key gameplay changes that will be missing at launch. Perhaps the most important is the addition of the ability to change stance while downed. Once this patch arrives, players should be able to go from crouching to lying down to avoid being fired while waiting to be revived.

Warzone Armor Plate
Activision

Players will soon be able to change their immobilized state in Warzone.

Although details are still scarce given that this update will only arrive in a few weeks, here is an overview of the three changes we already know about:

  • Down : Ability to control the state of resurrection: Lying down or crouching.
  • Gas mask : Ability to drop it.
  • Armor : Collect the plates in another armor satchel.

There you go, you now know all the big news coming from the launch of Warzone Pacific Season 2 as well as the three others that should arrive on the occasion of the mid-season patch.
