Warzone’s HDR could replace Kar98k

While Kar98k received a significant nerf in Warzone’s Season 3 update, HDR has made a strong comeback in battle royale, spearheading a class that’s been a hit on TikTok.

It’s no secret that almost every sniper got nerfed when Warzone Season 3 kicked off. Between the drop in damage range and the complete loss of the ability to kill an opponent in 1 hit, players have struggled to replace their weapons of choice from Season 2.

Until now, the ZRG had been the most popular choice, but recently HDR has been making a lot of noise thanks to a class that gives it an impressive ADS speed, which it previously lacked.

Of course, even with this class it’s still not as fast as the old Kar98k, but the difference is minimal when fighting at medium or long range.

As you might expect, close combat is still the big problem with this weapon, so it’s important to be prepared for it.

This means you’ll probably need to use an SMG as a secondary weapon if you want to maximize your loadout effectiveness.

It’s a stripped-down version of HDR that’s having the most success right now.

Given that Warzone Season 3 is still in its infancy, the meta is set to undergo further shake-ups before Season 3 Reloaded arrives, but in the meantime, HDR seems like a safe bet.
